The ST6 product family has stood at the beginning of the long and successful story of STMicroelectronics’ 8-bit microcontrollers in automotive applications.

These products are a safe and popular choice for simple and robust cost-sensitive applications. Housed in 16- to 28-pin packages, the ST6 devices integrate 1 to 4 Kbytes of OTP (one-time programmable) or ROM memory. Versions with embedded EEPROM are available.

• On-chip EEPROM (optional)
• Readout protection (ROP) on program memory

• Power supply operating range: 3.0 V to 6 V
• Maximum external frequency: 8 MHz
• Oscillator safeguard (OSG) and backup oscillator (LFAO)
• Low-voltage detector (LVD)
• 2 power saving modes: WAIT and STOP

• 4 interrupt vectors plus NMI and RESET
• Software programmable for each I/O

• Up to 20 I/O lines
• Multifunctional, bidirectional I/O pins
• Up to 4 high-current capability I/O lines
